In 2022, with the assist of Change for Balance, environmental nonprofit The Nature Conservancy sought to make a film that would not only address climate change and “eco-anxiety,” but also offer concrete solutions

Team C4B was proud to represent Woodcraft Rangers as they hosted their Campfire Affair Gala on June 17, 2023, raising nearly $3 million dollars to support Woodcraft Rangers’ afterschool enrichment programs, summer day camps and Camp Woodcraft summer sleepaway camps.  It also celebrated the nonprofit’s 100-year anniversary serving five generations of Angeleno youth.  

Last week in Princeton, New Jersey, C4B client Proof Positive brought together leaders in the autism education space from across the country for their inaugural Learning Institute.

Change for Balance proudly partnered with Easterseals and Cheery Lake Publishing to create the UNDERSTANDING DISABILITY book series. This 8-book series is targeted to young readers in grades 3-5, authored by people with disabilities and allies.

For the past 100 years, Woodcraft Rangers has been at the forefront of helping kids and teens explore purposeful paths in life, serving more than 15,000 youth in the greater Los Angeles area at 82 locations.

Easterseals, in collaboration with Change For Balance and HRTS, hosted a Virtual Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Executive Salon on Thursday, September 9. The event included some of the top entertainment executives who are actively shaping a more diverse and inclusive industry.

Know Diabetes by Heart is a groundbreaking event that features a mix of performance art, music and entertainment. Hosted by Golden Globe® winning and Academy Award® nominated actress Angela Bassett, the show is a celebration of culture and meaningful conversation on triumphing over diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

Each year, the Brand Film Awards, presented by Campaign US, MM+M, and PRWeek, recognizes excellence in brand-driven content and films. This year, C4B partner Roddy Tabatabai joined the judge’s panel and helped select the winning films from the highly-competitive roster of nominees.

There is no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on everyone. Unfortunately, according to a recent study by Easterseals, this crisis has had a disproportionately negative effect on people with disabilities.

The 2021 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge took place on May 6th, with a live audience of hundreds. Team C4B proudly produced the virtual film challenge with Easterseals Southern California and Microsoft Teams. This year, with a record-breaking 93 competitive submissions, the theme for this year’s challenge was mockumentary.

Founder Fred Maahs, Jr. is a passionate and recognized as an international leader for the disability community and in corporate America. He is also a renowned champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion. After more than 30 years as a corporate executive, Fred worked with Change for Balance to launch his multi-faceted consulting company, Maahs Travels, Accessibility Refined.

Team C4B proudly produced this year’s virtual gala for Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley. Due to the pandemic, this black-tie event was “reimagined” for a virtual setting, and it was our mission to make sure the experience was just as energetic and moving as it would have been in person.

Team C4B is proud to partner with NEXT for AUTISM for the Color the Spectrum stream-a-thon on April 30th, 2021. Presented by YouTube Originals, the stream-a-thon will be hosted by YouTuber Mark Rober and Jimmy Kimmel, and featuring many more talented guests including Andy Samberg, Jack Black, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Conan O’Brien, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Rhett and Link, Jacksepticeye, Marques Brownlee.

Change for Balance partnered with Agency C5 to support Sweet Mission Cookie Co., a leading baked goods company dedicated to training and employing individuals from vulnerable backgrounds and those experiencing homelessness, to deliver superb products all while changing the world through offering new hope and a foundation to those in need of a second chance.
